However, there are 2 sites in Commencement Bay where the terns have set up
housekeeping and are proceeding with courtship behaviors. Giving the levels
of lead, arsenic, chromium and other heavy metals in the soils at the ASARCO
site, and that the other sites are relatively private and clean, encouraging
them not to nest at ASARCO might be better for the terns in the long run?
