Five's really a high number. I had three once on a single morn--I recall a
May 3rd date years ago--at Discovery Park. Yet Gary Bletsch (presently in
Saudi Arabia) once had a migrant wave of over ten birds in early May once
long ago, at a spot near Concrete in Skagit County. It seems that although
singles are typical for wWA over mid-April to mid-May for this uncommon
migrant, 2-3 at a time can occur, and even larger numbers can very rarely
turn up....
