I have to agree with Brett. I love crows, for the reasons what Brett said
and more. Yeah, they do get on my nerves sometimes and I just get
frustrated, but they are doing what they were programed to do, survive.
That's instincts. They are a lot of help for all you people who don't like
to have accipiters in the area. The accipiters hate crows and get very
nervous around them and will leave once the numbers get too large. But, they
also will do what they prevent other larger birds from doing, stealing eggs
and young. Just yesterday, my female tree swallows was mobbing a crow on the
roof of a house across the street, it had a robins egg and when it finished,
it flew off and then came back again to rob the robin's nest. Sad, but life.
Once my tree swallows eggs are near hatching and onward, they will be MUCH,
MUCH more aggressive to crows and will usually drive them off.
