First of all, thankyou for not bombarding me with a bunch of negative email. I was in a hurry when describing the bird at hand. He was all streaky, the eye was in the white, and appeared to have an eye ring. Also altho the song did sound buzzy to me, it was very thin and high pitched, and very little movement in the notation. I have a form I will mail to whomever I need to, as soon as I get an address from someone, possibly Bruce LaBar. I don't expect the bird to be accepted per say; since I have no photograph, but felt it important that someone know about the sighting.
Andrew Longtin will be emailing me his list for the trip, he wrote down every single sighting, that was new. He had about 90 new life birds.
For those travelling to Wenas, we had 2 female WHITE-HEADED WOODPECKERS near Hog Road Ranch, and all the flycatchers but Pacific Slope, and Western Wood Pee Wee.
No Pygmy Nuthatches, lots of Townsends Solitaires, too many Yellow Rumps, and snow falling on a male CALLIOPE Hummer....The weather became horrid, and we were unable to go to Hardy Canyon. We found no MacGillvary's, or Lazuli's, no Chat's.....
But this AM we were able to get Chukar, White throated Swifts, two Golden Eagles, and several other goodies to finish off the trip......I will post the complete trip after I receive his list. Vicki Biltz vickibiltz at msn.com Bonney Lake Wa.
