Dennis has been touting the sound of running water to attract birds.
Not that I doubted it, but I got a great first-hand experience today.
I went out this afternoon to take a leak in the yard, and while I was
relieving myself, a Wilson's Warbler came out of the forest into the
rhody beside me, and then landed *at my feet*. Not wanting to pee on
him, I shooed him away, but the attractiveness of that sound couldn't
have been more clear.
