Sightings for Saturday, May 11th

In the late afternoon at 112th Street, Boundary Bay, a breeding plumaged
HUDSONIAN GODWIT was found. It was seen flying to a field near Highway 10.
In the same area were 100 PECTORAL SANDPIPERS, a WILSONS PHALAROPE and 10
WHIMBRELS. A further 10 WHIMBRELS were at 104th Street.

A report from Grant Narrows Regional Park in Pitt Meadows included 2
WARLING
VIREOS, a CASSIN'S VIREO, a TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE, 4 BLUE-WINGED TEALS and a
BULLOCK'S ORIOLE.

At Lighthouse Park in North Vancouver was a BARRED OWL, while at 1st Avenue
in Point Roberts, a COMMON NIGHTHAWK was seen.

Sightings for Friday, May 10th

Seen off Point Grey were 2 PARASITIC JAEGERS and 40 COMMON TERNS. At Cecil
Green were a WHITE-THROATED SPARROW, a DUSKY FLYCATCHER and 4 WHITE-WINGED
CROSSBILLS. At 41st and Crown in Vancouver were 12 CEDAR WAXWINGS.

At Iona bay was a LONG-BILLED CURLEW. At the ponds were a SEMI-PALMATED
SANDPIPER and 8 PECTORAL SANDPIPERS. From the south jetty were a WESTERN
MEADOWLARK, a LAPLAND LONGSPUR, 20 PARASITIC JAEGERS and over 5000 COMMON
TERNS.

From Blackie's Spit come a report of an OSPREY, a SEMI-PALMATED PLOVER and

WHIMBRELS.

Sightings for Thursday, May 9th

At Iona there was a LONG-BILLED CURLEW in the bay as well as 12 PARASITIC
JAEGERS at the south jetty tip.

At Burnaby Mountain Park 2 CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRDS are still being seen near
the playground. In the same area were a WESTERN TANAGER, a WARBLING VIREO
and 5 VAUX'S SWIFTS.

A search of Robert Burnaby Park produced 2 PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATCHERS.

Sightings for Wednesday, May 8th

At Iona were a LONG-BILLED CURLEW in IONA BAY, a SEMI-PALMATED SANDPIPER
and 8 PECTORAL SANDPIPERS at the ponds and a LAPLAND LONGSPUR, 5 PARASITIC
JAEGERS and numerous COMMON TERNS from the south jetty.
