Everett SewageTreatment Ponds: About twenty yards down the road from the
small parking area next to the south pond going toward Spenser's Island,
on the north side of the road amidst a small cluster of trees, a Virginia
Rail hectoring her three jet black chicks with their ringed bills. Her
continuous high notes and clucks made it very easy to locate her and the
chicks following along silently. They were often out in open patches
between reeds. I spotted them about 5:30pm.
