Because indexes order birds by their names not their
taxonomy. The word "warbler" is not part of their name,
so they aren't listed under warbler.

You'll also find that Northern Pintail is not listed in
the index under "duck" nor is Black-legged Kittiwake
among the "gulls".

This is also why most modern field guides do not arrange
birds in the text alphabetically. A taxonomic arrangement
is the standard, but many authors have tried color, habitat
and jizz arrangements with varying degrees of success.
