Subject: Mystery bird identified

The bird I had been trying to identify is a red crossbill. I had never seen
one before so this is exciting for me. I have the pair coming to my
sunflower chip feeder 4-6 times a day now. Thank you so much to all those
who were kind enough to send helpful emails.

Had two hummingbirds visit the feeder a few weeks ago and haven't seen them
since, pretty disappointing. I've planted quite a few hummer plants,
especially late and winter blooming types so maybe the Annas will find the
new place later this year.
