Hi, all:

I was watching the hummers this morning and was surprised there were so
many at this time of year. Usually I don't get 8 at one time/one feeder
until later. So far I've had one male Calliope, two female Calliopes, one
male Black-chinned, no female black-chinned yet, one male Rufuous, and
six female Rufuous. At least that I've seen! There are 3 feeders out but
I still have to fill 2 of them every day. I saw my first Bullocks Oriole
of the year yesterday morning. A gorgeous male. Last year a pair showed
up here for the first time and raised 3 healthy young. It was really
neat. I hope they do as well this year. I had 2 gold-crowned sparrows in
among the white-crowns last weekend but I notice they have moved on.
