This conversation is interesting to me. This is what tweeters is all about!
This morning in front of our condo in downtown Kirkland, I also had a Western
Tanager that had a very small amount of orange on it's head and no red. When
I first noticed the bird from 60 feet away I thought I had a Tanager, however
it just didn't look right. On closer examination, I confirmed my earlier
identification. So, add another color deficient Western Tanager to the list.
