Heard my first WESTERN WOOD-PEEWEES today on the Chehalis Western Trail
(between 26 (?) and South Bay). Also had a male HAIRY WOODPECKER which I
have trouble finding in the city limits (I've been toying with an Oly big
day). The COOTS have 7 chicks on the pond just off of Martin Way, also 9
WOOD DUCK chicks on the pond off Schinke RD and 36th. Only other highlights
were:
2 CASSIN'S VIREOS
2 SWAINSON'S THRUSH (good looks)
many dogs and cats without leashes running through the edges spooking
nesting birds...no comment.
