Good morning, Ian:

I'm really going to miss him (sounds funny when I say it like that as
I've never met him). I read his articles in "Nature" for many years and
enjoyed him immensely. Yes, his Flamingo's Smile was a neat book. He
could be very funny, and his writings were so accessible for the non- or
very amateur-scientist.
