A Central Oregon birder just reported that his overwintering
Harris Sparrow left his yard and feeder just recently.

They are found now annually in the area here in winter. Perhaps
your Washington arrival is one of the birds moving north now
from here. One in Redmond last seen May 10 was in breeding
plumage when last seen. I don't have records for dates but it
does seem quite late. I know we have seen them into April before
but can't say for sure about any May records in our local area.
