Hi Tweeters,
I have only seen the female in the last few days of the Mandarin duck pair
frequenting my yard. They used to be inseparable. Could the male be
sitting on a nest somewhere? Where is he eating then or does she bring him
food? She doesn't stay long since he's not with her. Any thoughts would be
appreciated. Otherwise my yard regulars include a pair each of house finch,
black-capped chickadees, and ravens (?) the latter of which screamed at my
dog today for merely resting quietly under a tree, minding his own business.
Also saw a pair of bright yellow birds briefly, maybe Bullock's orioles, a
few days ago.
