Greetings Tweeters,

I had an enjoyable hour and a half today at the fishing dock at Long Lake in south Kitsap County. Actually it was two stops, 30 minutes in the morning and an hour around 5 PM.

Morning birds:

Red-winged and Brewers Blackbirds, Spotted Sandpiper and Killdeer, Wilson's Warbler, Barn Swallows and a Black-headed Grosbeak.

Afternoon birds:

The Spotted sandpiper was still there, feeding in the same spot, some 7 hours later! Also had Barn, Tree and Violet Green Swallows, a beautiful pair of Blue-winged Teal, Several Cedar Waxwings, at lest 6 Black-headed Grosbeak, a Yellow Warbler, and a brief look at either a Townsend's Warbler or a Common Yellowthroat. Just got a look at the black mask through the eyes. Kingfisher and Pheasant heard but not seen.
