Inlanders and Tweeters,

Least Flycatcher - While working on the Kalispel Indian Reservation on Thursday morning I heard one Least Flycatcher in some Cottonwood trees along the Pend Oreille River. The bird did not persist, but the habitat looks right for them.

Mourning Warbler - A male observed in a brushy area near the corner of River Bend Road and LeClerc Creek Road on the Kalispel Indian Reservation. I was able to get a good look at the bird, in order to confirm the absence of the broad eye arcs that are present on MacGillvray's Warblers, which are common in the area. The bird was also singing, which helped to confirm the identification. I returned later in the day, but couldn't relocate the bird.

Black-necked Stilt - There are still six pairs persisting in a marsh on the reservation.

Bewick's Wrens - Two birds observed on the reservation.

Unfortunately, the reservation is private land, so observers are not allowed to enter it without the permission of the Tribe.
