As I was driving through remote parts of Montana yesterday, searching for an NPR relay station on the FM, I got one of those ubiquitous Christian stations now taking over the low end of the FM spectrum. To my astonishment, the Christian Accuracy in Media group was overtly advocating the return to DDT use to control mosquitoes. Blaming "media excesses" and "bad science" for the hysterical ban of this wonderful substance, the announcer promised an end to malaria and WNV if only we would use more DDT.

Wow!

We wouldn't have to worry about hawks running into trucks, or owls hitting fences, or falcons crashing into things.....

The trend in campaign advertising is to list the candidate's phone number and urge you to call. I do not have the appropriate phone number, but it's probably locatable.
