Paul A. Johnsgard reviewed "Pheasants, Partridges & Grouse: A Guide to the
Pheasants, Partridges, Grouse, Guineafowl, Buttonquails, and Sandgrouse of
the World" by Steve Madge and Phil McGowan for the ABA's Birding magazine,
Oct. 2002.

Those of you who missed it might enjoy this excerpt on the completeness of
the illustrations:

"Both sexes of the little-known and taxonomically puzzling Imperial,
Edward's, and Vietnamese Pheasants are illustrated very competently by
Daniel Cole, who also knowledgeably painted all the other <Lophura>
pheasants. The "Double-banded Argus", a questionable species still known
only from a single feather of uncertain origin, is not illustrated."
