About 8 a.m. Sunday a flock of Dark-eyed Juncos were feeding in my backyard.
Even though I have flocks of juncos year-round, I always enjoy watching them.
Then I noticed a different bird among the morning flock. It was a
White-throated Sparrow. Since it was feeding in the bark along the edge of
the patio I was able to get a close-up look at it. Most certainly, it is a
new bird for my yard list. And a lovely one at that.
