Subject: Squirrel Feeders?

If you have squirrels, I don't think there is much you can to do discourage them from eating bird food. So I baffle all of the feeders I don't want the squirrels to get to and I do let them eat from the ground feeders. I also have a squirrel feeder that I fill regularly in the winter.

Keeping squirrels from eating bird food would be a constant battle. I don't want to spend time worrying about it so I decided to give them a little food.

I am new to Tweeters, so pardon me if this is not an appropriate question.

We have bird feeders in our yard, but of course they also attract squirrels. We like watching the squirrels, but they have been known to raid my bird feeders. If I put out squirrel feeders, will that keep the little critters away from the bird feeders, or will it simply exacerbate the problem. Also, do squirrel feeders attract raccoons? Any help would be appreciated.
