Tweets,
I birded vantage and Huntzinger road down to the railroad bridge this morning and thought I'd report on a few notables.
First I tried for some sparrows along the canyon near the boat launch at Ginkgo State Park, this is marked by a white state park gate. Lots of song sparrows and white-crowned and managed to find one Tree Sparrow and possibly heard a second. A treat in here was I flushed a large group of Chukar, 35-40 and this prompted a Golden Eagle to come off the cliff and begin to chase the birds around. Chased a few of them but didn't seem real interested in actual hunting.
At the boat launch, a couple of larger gulls- 2 immature Herring Gulls, 1 adult Herring and an immature Glacous-winged gull. Many waterfowl still about, with scaup being the main. 27 American White Pelican counted, and 3 of these just south of the I-90 bridge which is farther up than I usually seem them. The other 24 were on the island just north of the railroad bridge. also present here was an adult Glacous-winged Gull. A good morning out. Rock Wrens singing everywhere, probably saw/heard 30-35 in all of my stops.

Good birding all.
