Do Common Snipes stay in Western Washington throughout the winter
months? I saw six snipes feeding together along the edge of a pond yesterday
morning. Since the field guide says they are usually solitary, I wondered
whether they might be migration buddies or perhaps a family that has not yet
dispersed.
