Made a quick trip out to Ridgefield NWR before the weather turned wet. I
was just mainly interested in the hawks that Wilson Cady had seen this past
weekend. Highlights included 1-Red-shouldered Hawk and 1-Ferruginous Hawk.
This Ferruginous was very dull with little color showing through. Other
hawks seen were:

18 Northern Harriers
1 Sharp-shinned Hawk
13 Red-tailed Hawks
1 Rough-legged Hawk
14 American Kestrels

Ferruginous Hawks are tough west of the Cascades so those who need this
species on their western WA list should try to make it down to Ridgefield
NWR.
