Saturday, November 2, 5:42 PM; Hi this is Barry Levine (206) 526-8676,
reporting a group of SNOW BUNTINGS, including a very bright male, seen off
Maupin Rd on Fir Island. To get there, take the LaConner exit off I-5, go
west on Fir Island Rd where you come to a hairpin curve, turn to your left
and as the road bends right, that?s Maupin Rd. Make that left, go down to
the first farmhouse and look into the fields. Thats it.

Saturday, November 2, 5:59 PM; Hi this is Tom Aversa reporting on something
of some local interest. A lot of goldeneyes are flying east over Finny
Ridge, and there are about 200 goldeneye down at Green Lake before dusk. They
all appeared to be BARROWS. Also up in the zoo today there was a GREAT
HORNED OWL; it was of interest because it was a very sandy, pale individual,
not a typical Western Washington bird. Thats it.

Sunday, November 3, 5:18 PM; His this Kraig Kemper, (206) 789-9255, reporting
for Saturday and Sunday, Nov 2-3. On Saturday, Nov 2, on the North Cascade
Hwy between Rainy Pass and Washington Pass, in Chelan County, 1 imm GOLDEN
EAGLE seen at Bridge Creek trailhead. Also that same day at the Washington
Pass overlook in Okanogan County, 1 PINE GROSBEAK and 2 CLARK?S NUTCRACKERS
and several GREY JAYS. Today, Sunday Nov 3, late morning on Moulton Rd, on
Fir Island, we located the SNOW BUBTINGS reported bu Barry Levine, but there
were 8 birds.

Sunday, November 3, 7:03 PM; Hi, this is Steve Mlodinow where today Dennis
Duffy and I birded through Whidbey and onto Fir Island, then over to
Stanwood, totaling 114 species. Highlight (but included in species total)
were 2 BLUE GEESE, and adult and imm at end of Bow Rd in a huge SNOW GEESE
flock. Other highlights included a PECTORAL SANDPIPER at Crockett
Lake, a couple of LESSER YELLOWLEGS near Sunlight Beach, a SHORT-BILLED
DOWITCHER calling at Stanwood SP, a couple of light colored JUNCOS at the
Skagit Game Range, the previously mentioned SNOW BUNTING flock, and 5000 SURF
SCOTERS and 1500 WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS at Penn Cove. Thats it, good luck and
good birding.

Monday, November 4, 1:12 PM; This is Rachel Lawson, BirdBox administrator.
Kevin Li called to reort that he saw a NORTHERN FULMAR on Lake Union. He saw
it from a research vessel in the middle of the lake and managed to get
photos. The bird was in a light phase, and he saw it about 9:45 this moring
heading toward University Bridge from the eastside of Gasworks Park. Thank
you.
