I had convinced myself earlier this week that this was indeed a grackle. I swayed back and forth on whether it was or was not at first. Up to that point I hadn't seen any compelling reason to think it wasn't. The color and tail weren't exact, but nature is delights in some diversity. Then Dennis posted the new photos. It left little doubt. Now the sketches and the comments of my observation of this bird are filed under "Unidentified Hybrid - possible GT Grackle/Brewer's" where I'm sure it will remain.
