On Sunday I poked and puttered around Chelan Falls Park in Chelan Falls.
Viewed from the north end of the park, there is a large gravel bar on the
Columbia River with many dead and dying salmon in the vicinity. Gulls on the
gravel bar were Ring-billed and California Gulls, 15+ Herring Gulls, 2 juv
Thayer's Gulls and a first winter Glaucous Gull [dark eye]. The Glaucous
Gull is a Chelan County first, as far as I know.
Chelan Falls is near the junction of US 97 and SR 150. Delorme Atlas page
