Hi, all:
I've moved to Airway Heights (suburban area west of Spokane). As some of
you know, I've been living in a wildlife paradise for the past 7 years
but the farmer's children wanted the old homestead back. Rats!! So. No
more bears, deer, badger, raccoons (living under my bedroom), moose,
ducks (even if they were mostly mallards), etc. etc. etc. Worst of all,
no more nesting of a great variety of species I've considered my "own"
over the years, right in front of my eyes. Now it's going to be house
sparrows, house finches, and starlings. Plus cats allowed to roam the
neighborhood. What a total bummer! On the other hand, the corner of the
house isn't sinking into a marsh, the roof doesn't leak, there are no
holes in the walls so the wind doesn't blow right through, and you can
get heat by turning a knob on the wall! What a concept!! I know! I know!
WIMP WIMP. Oh well, I WILL recover...it's just those dratted withdrawal
symptoms.
Regards, Joanne
