Hi,
Blustery winds and rains kept many smaller birds down during the afternoon,
but besides the usual, expected birds, we got some great looks at 7 great
egrets at the SE corner of the Dike Rd (by the RR trestle) about 3:30. At
the same site, 27 sandhill cranes and a bald eagle flew over.

Earlier in the afternoon at the Ridgefield WLR "S" unit, we were unable to
locate the black phoebe, but it was raining and there were pretty strong
gusts. Raptures far outnumbered the sparrows. We saw no unexpected birds,
but really enjoyed the hawk show on the last leg of the drive.
