This is the Vancouver Bird Alert for Sunday November 17th, evening update,

Featured birds are RED KNOT and BLUE-WINGED TEAL.

Sightings for Sunday, November 17

A female BLUE-WINGED TEAL was seen at the Mansion on Boundary Bay. Also at
this location were 12 GREATER YELLOWLEGS and 10 LONG-BILLED DOWICTHERS.

A RED KNOT was seen in a field near 33A & 34th in Delta.

Observed from the Roberts Bank Jetty were 26 EURASIAN WIGEON and near its
base were 3 BARN SWALLOWS.

Seen from Semiahmoo Spit in Blaine Washington were 3 MARBLED GODWITS.

Saturday, November 16

Three BARN SWALLOWS were seen near the base of the Roberts Bank Jetty.

A MUTE SWAN was observed in Canoe Passage from the Westham Island Bridge.

Reported in a field near 33A & 34th was a RED KNOT. Nearby at 57B and
Deltaport Way was a LESSER YELLOWLEGS.

In a field near 28th & 64th in Delta was an AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER.

A WESTERN GULL was in a gull roost along Burns Drive in Delta.

Two GREAT HORNED OWLS were seen on the monthly Terra Nova Bird Survey.

Friday, November 15

Two RED KNOTS were seen from the south side of the Roberts Bank Jetty with a
flock of plovers.

Reported from the Tsawwassen Jetty were the WILLET and 3 BLACK
OYSTERCATCHERS.

The 2 LESSER YELLOWLEGS were again seen at the Beach Grove Lagoon in
Tsawwassen.

At Lighthouse Marine Park in Point Roberts was a RHINOCEROS AUKLET.

At the Mansion at Boundary Bay were 11 GREATER YELLOWLEGS.

Thursday, November 14

At Beach Grove Lagoon in Tsawwassen were 2 LESSER YELLOWLEGS. Also at this
location the BRANT numbers have climbed to 180.

Wednesday, November 13

Reported from the Terra Nova area of Richmond was a GREAT HORNED OWL.

Seen at the west end of River Rd. in Delta were 2 male EURASIAN WIGEON.

Tuesday, November 12

A ROCK SANDPIPER was seen at Lighthouse Marine Park in Point Roberts.
