Hey Tweeters,
This afternoon a flock of 67 SNOW GEESE flew high over our yard in a
long, noisy V formation. Also lots of Townsend's Warblers lately (at least 12
today).

As reported by Rob and Natalie McNair-Huff, it was a good day for
alcids from the Dash Point Pier. Much higher than usual (in my experience)
numbers of both RHINOCEROS AUKLETS and COMMON MURRES, along with over 28
ANCIENT and 2 MARBLED MURRELETS, several each of PELAGIC and BRANDT'S
CORMORANTS, many BONAPARTE'S GULLS, RED-BREASTED MERGANSERS, and more. Most
of the Ancients were in Pierce County, but there were also a few flying in
King. We all had good, though distant views of them foraging and then
settling in for the night as the sun went down.

Good birding,

Charlie Wright
