I saw a Hutton's Vireo in some thickets a couple of days ago here is
DesMoines. It reminded me of the following, excellent link to the best info
I've ever found about ID'ing them, where they could be confused w/
Ruby-crowned Kinglet.

The bird I saw had a very-dark section (black) BETWEEN the two wingbars,
something NOT shown in Sibley. The website above mentions that, and that
the dark part on the Ruby-crown's wing is below the lower wingbar. Because
this bird actually perched up on the blackberries, I was able to see the
wingbars, it's larger size, and large bill.
I guess I need to listen to some bird tapes to learn their call note. This
will probably help when they can't be seen (almost always.)
