Subject: West nile virus bird research?

Since West Nile Virus has a potentially large impact on birds, perhaps more
so than any other critter, I am wondering if there are plans to set up some
research on effects on local raptors and corvids? I see all kinds of action
by horse folks, and even dog folks are talking about it. Since this is
primarily a bird virus, can someone direct me to where the ornithologists
are talking about this? Some of my students are interested, and could
potentially contribute to a spring project.
