Greetings,
Brendan McGarry, Lee Barnes, and I birded Wenas Campground and Recer Canyon
on Sunday. In the Campground we fun all three species of Nuthatches, a pair
of active Hairy Woodpeckers, a White-headed Woodpecker, a Clark's Nutcraker,
some Steller Jays, and a few flocks of Kinglets.
Most interesting at the stream crossing just before the campground we ran
into a flock of 20-50 Rosy finches drinking, they satyed for only about 30
seconds then kept heading up the canyon. Also at the stream crpssign we
observed a dipper.
At Lions rock we found a Merlin and a Rough-legged Hawk.

Good Birding
