A belated report from Grant and Douglas Counties last Friday, 11/23. Good numbers of Horned Lark were in plowed fields along Highway 2. 6 Snow Buntings were with a large flock of Larks several miles east of Waterville, a flock of roughly 125 Snow Buntings were east of Moses Coulee, and a flock of about 250 were about 8 to 10 miles south of Hartline in Grant County. 6 Northern Shrike and 6 Rough legged Hawks were along or close to Highway 2 in Douglas Co., and 1 shrike was south of Hartline. At Dry Falls 2 Canyon Wren were present, while at Sun Lakes 2 White-winged Scoter and a late Osprey were among the many waterfowl present. Good luck and good birding.
