I have had Merlins at the house for the last week in a half or so. Dark birds have been the norm although this week I had one light bird and today I have two dark birds together at the same time. My first sighting today was a merlin swooping on a house sparrow, no it did not get it!, then a second merlin swoop down on the other merlin. I thought they were going to have it out over the hunting ground but instead I saw the two of them flying together past the house about 10 minutes later.

So..... Othello residents keep those eyes peeled at your feeders for the fast aggressors are visiting.
