Hi,
Just got back from my first chance of looking for and finding the Ancient
Murrelets. Had some maybes and one definite at Dashpoint Park, not very
close. Lots of Murres and Rhinos, and other such things.
At Browns Point I ran into Rolan Nelson, his wife, and another birder,
whose name I didn't recognize (so sorry!) and we found at least 2 of the
desired birds north of the Point, this was probably about 1:15.
Although further out than I would have liked, they were very clear and
identifiable, not as close of a sighting I would like to have had, but in
calmer waters, and they stayed up long enough to make me happy. Will try
again later for closer looks.
