A juvy, light/intermediate morph PARASITIC JAEGER was seen flying along the
Columbia River in Confluence State Park near Wenatchee, Chelan Co WA on 29
Sep according to Dave Beaudette. From US 2 at Wenatchee, eastbound or
westbound, follow signs to the state park. WA DeLorme 67, A-6.

A GOSHAWK was seen 24 Sep along the Palouse River, just north of Colfax,
Whitman Co WA by Thomas Underhill. It was on private property, but in an
area visible from Earlbacher Road off of Dry Creek Road.

A ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK was near Othello, Adams Co WA on 24 Sep according to
Larry and Jacque Goodhew.

On 28 Sep a WHITE-THROATED SPARROW visited the yard of Theresa Potts in
Coeur d'Alene, Kootenai Co ID.

NORTHERN PYGMY-OWLS made appearances on Moscow Mt, just north of Moscow,
Latah Co ID on 28 Sep. Dave Holick and Tom Besser both report tooting birds
on the south side of the mountain.

On 28 Sep at the Walla Walla River Delta is western Walla Walla Co WA, Mike
and MerryLynn Denny and Charles Swift report a single BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER,
CASPIAN TERN, SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER. The delta can be accessed 0.1 mile
north of Madame Dorian Park which is just north of the US 12/US 730 jct.
There's a pull-out along US 12 at milepost 306.9 and a path to the delta.
WA DeLorme 40, D-1. A little further north at the Dodd-Iowa Beef Road ponds
they added a DUNLIN and 5 FRANKLIN'S GULLS. Turn onto Dodd-Iowa Beef Road at
US 12 milepost 301.5 about 5.5 miles north of the jct of US 12 and US 730.
Follow Dodd-Iowa east about 0.5 miles past the slaughter house, the road
goes down a little hill and then back up. At the top, turn right onto a
gravel road that used to be a railroad grade. Follow it to settling ponds.
WA DeLorme 40, CD-1.

An adult PEREGRINE FALCON was on the Yakima River Delta near Yakima, Yakima
Co WA on 29 Sep according to Charles Swift, as well as a couple of
BONAPARTE'S GULLS. WA DeLorme 50, CD-4.

The single BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON in Lewiston, Nez Perce Co ID was still
seen on 28 Sep according to Terry and Christine Gray. Look for it at the
north end of the Kiwanis Park levee pond, which is just south of the US 12
bridge between Lewiston and Clarkston along Snake River Avenue. ID DeLorme
54, A-1.
