While fall is not the prime season for viewing Sandhill Cranes near Othello,
we do get our share. There have been a couple thousand around for a few
weeks, and this week I've seen several flocks migrating through. Look on
the Royal Slope about 10 miles west of Othello, mostly north of SR 26. Also
today there was a Snow Goose at Royal Lake on Columbia NWR.
