I too got the bugbear virus TWICE from two different Tweeters emails.
My Norton antivirus soft wear took care of it--reminds me to update the
dat files more regularly.

My virus detector also caught Bugbear coming in from Tweeters or a
tweeters
related member.
I read the great treatise sent out by T Gronseth and went to the
F-Secure
anti-virus website to download their software that is supposed to debug
the
Bugbear.

I downloaded and installed the trial version that is free. THIS WAS A
PROBLEM !!

I am operating Windows XP Professional and I assume Norton Anti-virus
was
also running when I installed F-Secure.

Whether due to virus checker conflicts or whatever the reason, I ended
up
with horrible lockups and system freezes that were very unnerving. I was
unable to un-install the program. Finally, I was able to boot up in
"safe
mode" and get to my control panel where I was able to uninstall F-Secure
and
its accompanying programs. This seems to have solved the lock-up
problems,
and as I write this, I am scanning for the virus using Norton.

I do not know what I may have done wrong, but I recommend a very
cautious
approach if you are going to try this program with Windows XP
Professional

Good luck.

I am posting this to BCINTBIRD in case anyone there begins to receive
this
pukey little virus. What a sick world we have out there. !
