A coalition of groups has purchased 1,750 acres of land near Easton (east of Snoqualmie Pass) -- and the article about it even mentions birding: "For area residents and visitors, the plan also means that they will have additional land near the Wenatchee National Forest for hiking, bird watching, fishing and hunting."
