Oct.2, Wednesday, 5:29 PM. This is Rachel Lawson at (206) 282-5593. This
is an addendum to my previous report of Sept. 28th. The birders that saw the
SHARP-TAILED SANDPIPER at the Hoquiam Sewage Treatment Plant on Saturday
did, indeed, have permission to go out on to the boardwalk to see the bird
but now there is some question whether the staff at the sewage plant have
the authority to grant that permission. To be on the safe side, you should
try to see the bird without going out on the boardwalk.

Oct. 3, Thursday, 4:34 PM. This is Tom Aversa. I am birding out around
Othello and just had 3 SHARP-TAILED SANDPIPERS at the Potato Ponds so if
anyone is out this way, they might want to take a look. Hopefully they will
stick around.
Make sure you do not drive in to the ponds. You can walk around. That
will be ok but they do not like you to drive around.
