Subject: 1st EURASIAN WIDGEONS

There were about 4000 AMERICAN WIGEON in a single group
at Baker Bay just west of the Chinook River (Columbia
River Estuary), Pacific County, WA. yesterday. A single
flock this size is unusual here and presumably indicates
a migrant flock.

I did not have time to sort through them for EURWIGS,
but given the size of the flock...

Only one WHITE-TAILED KITE was found along Chinook Valley
Rd which appeared to be an adult.

A child who becomes acquainted with the birds about him
hears every sound and puzzles out its meaning with a cleverness
that amazes those with ears who hear not.
