As of this morning, 3 Sharp-tailed Sandpipers were still present at the McCain ponds as was described earlier by Bob Flores. Also of note was a Barn Swallow flying over the front pond near the road and several Lesser Yellowlegs.
Yesterday Michael Dossett and I were up in the Colockum area again and while not much of interest to report there was a female Goshawk near Colockum Pass and good numbers of Sharp-shinned and Cooper's Hawks migrating in the afternoon over Naneum Ridge. We were watching for about 2 hours around the ridge and noted 6-7 birds. Finally of note was a good size flock of American Wigeon south of the Vantage Bridge, I'd estimate about 400-500 birds, too far out to see if A Eurasian might be among them.

Good Birding.
