Hello Tweeters,
Yesterday I led a field trip to Ridgefield NWR for Tahoma Audubon.
Highlights of the day were Sandhill Cranes, Canvasback, a lingering
Black-throated Gray Warbler, Fox Sparrow, Ruby-crowned Kinglet and many,
many Harriers! We looked through the Red-tailed Hawks present without
finding the elusive Red-shouldered.
The water was quite low for this time of year in all ponds seen. (Duck
numbers were down.)
One point of interest, the annual BirdFest at Ridgefield is scheduled for
next weekend, October 11&12.
Happy Birding,
Faye McAdams
