It was a beautiful fall day in the lower Yakima Valley today. I
birded the Toppenish Wildlife Refuge where they are starting to fill
the pond in front of the observation deck, it should start attracting
a lot of waterfowl as the pressure of hunting season picks up.

I also birded Marion Dr., Pumphouse Rd., and Ft. Simcoe. There are
still at least four WESTERN SCRUB JAYS still at Ft. Simcoe and they
now have two STELLERS's JAYS keeping them company.
