Subject: couple Lake Stevens birds

Tweeters--

We had a flock of about 50 SNOW GEESE high overhead above our place in Lake
Stevens yesterday, about 4:30 pm. Strangely, the birds were heading
east--towards the mountains. This was a new one for the yard list and quite
unexpected. Less notable but getting toward the end of the season, we had a
BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLER on Saturday, Oct. 5 in our chickadee flock,
although last year I had one Oct. 6, and (as mentioned on Tweeters last year
at this time) a few always seem to show into the first week of October; a
bird after the 10th is much more noteworthy.
