Greetings All,

Roger Johnson and I went on a bird walk at Wenatchee Confluence State Park
this morning.

The migration of White-crowned Sparrows, Ruby-crowned Kinglets and
Yellow-rumped Warblers continues strong. No Orange-crowned Warblers were
seen. Two Sooty Fox Sparrows were seen.

A flock of 13 Surf Scoters along the Columbia River east of the campground.
This is the largest flock I have ever seen of this species in eastern
Washington; they are generally uncommon there.

A very vocal Merlin and a crow were taking turns chasing each other near the
park entrance.

An immature Brant was with a few Canada Geese at the soccer fields, which
are north of the east end of the campground. This is my first Brant for
eastern Washington.
