This is the Vancouver Natural History Society's Bird Alert for Thursday,
October 10th, October 11th morning update, sponsored in part by the Wild
Birds Unlimited stores in Vancouver and North Vancouver.

Sightings for Thursday, October 10th

Over Jericho Park in Vancouver, 55 SANDHILL CRANES were seen in overflight.

Wednesday, October 9th

Once again, a WHITE-THROATED SPARROW was seen near the stone bridge in
Stanley Park.

A GREEN HERON was at the southwest end of Burnaby Lake.

At Reifel was a STILT SANDPIPER while at Blackie's Spit, there was a MARBLED
GODWIT.

Out of town in Tofino, a PROTHONOTARY WARBLER was seen. For details, call

Tuesday, October 8th

A HORNED LARK was seen near Osler Court and Dean Place in North Vancouver.

At Grant Narrows Regional Park in Pitt Meadows, there was a TRUMPETER SWAN,
3 MUTE SWANS and 3 RING-NECKED DUCKS.

Monday, October 7th

At Reifel, the PROTHONOTARY WARBLER made a few brief appearances throughout
the day.

Two WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS were seen near the stone bridge in Stanley Park.
