Hi Everyone:
I spent a lovely sunny afternoon in South King County yesterday. At noon, 5
TV's (Turkey Vultures) flew south over Normandy Park as I stood in a big
parking lot at S 200th St and 1st Ave S. This is southwest of SeaTac
airport within a mile of Puget Sound.

At 1pm at DesMoines Marina. High tide:
Horned Grebe 6
Red-necked Grebe 4
Western Grebe 1
Ring-billed Gull 2
American Wigeon 30
Surf Scoter 6
Double-crested Cormorant 2

At 2pm at the Zenith access south of DesMoines. Tide going out.
Common Loon 2
Horned Grebe 20
Red-necked Grebe 4
Surf Scoter 8
White-winged Scoter 13
Black Scoter 1 (my first of the season)

I kinda wonder what's going on around here, when they have more Surf Scoters
in E Washington, than I do in DesMoines. ;-)
Yours, Carol Schulz
